Chairway to Heaven

Monday, 20 October 2025

It is always interesting, what might be seen as I drive around. Flowers in gardens. Deer, calmly standing on the side of the road. Holiday decorations. And most unexpectedly - chairs in trees. That was back in August. And they seem to be on the move, the chairs that is. Because often, when I I drivedrive by a week or so later they have shifted their ascent. Recently they were all huddled together on the lawn and there were several stacks of wooden shelving sprouting instead. Disappointing. But then today, aha!, the chairs have again decided to climb. And doing it wonderfully.

Red chairs, well up in the multiple trunks of this (one) tree, then blue,
and yellow toward the ground. And one poor white one that fell to earth.

Close to the driveway. Five treed chairs with floral upholstery.

This might be my favorite. A cascade of plain light brown chairs that
somehow managed to stretch from one tree to the next. Just love it!

Eagerly I anticipate what the chairs might offer my discerning eye,
when next I drive by, look with admiration at their chairway to heaven.
